About the Ribbon Leech

Ribbon leeches are a premier live bait for walleye with a natural undulating swimming action that artificial lures can't replicate. Hook them through the sucker end (the fat end) so they swim naturally. Fish them on slip-sinker rigs, jig heads, or spinner rigs. In spring and early summer, when water temps are between 50–65°F, a leech under a slip bobber on a rocky point is about as close to a guaranteed walleye as it gets.
