About the Tube Jig

The tube jig is the quintessential finesse lure for smallmouth bass and the single most effective presentation for rocky river and lake bottom. The hollow body collapses on the hookset, and the multiple tentacles pulse with every movement. On a light jighead, dragged and hopped along a cobblestone riverbed or rocky point, a tube looks exactly like a crawfish doing its best to escape. Lake trout and walleye also eat them readily. If you only carry one finesse bait, make it a tube.
