About the Prop Bait

A hard topwater lure with small propellers on one or both ends that spit and splash on a twitch-pause retrieve. More subtle than a buzzbait but louder than a walking bait, prop baits fill the gap when fish want a slower, more deliberate surface presentation. Twitch, pause, let the rings fade out — then twitch again. Strikes usually come on the pause.
