Fishing Knot Guide
Tie an overhand knot in the line about 10 inches from the end. Do not tighten.
Pass the tag end through the lure eye and back through the loop of the overhand knot.
Wrap the tag end around the standing line 4–6 times above the overhand knot.
Pass the tag end back through the overhand knot loop (the same way it entered).
Wet the knot and pull the standing line to tighten. Adjust loop size before final tightening.
Trim tag end close.
Pro Tip
The loop knot gives lures maximum action by allowing them to swing freely. Essential for jerkbaits, glide baits, and any lure where you want natural movement.
The Non-Slip Loop Knot is best suited for monofilament and fluorocarbon lines. With a breaking strength of 95% line strength, it's a reliable choice for connecting your line to hooks, lures, or swivels. This knot takes a bit of practice to tie consistently, but becomes quick once you have the muscle memory.
